In the Melbourne catering scene for over 20 years, Spitting Image Catering remains a boutique company run by mother and son team, Mark and Margaret Longmuir. Over the years we have built a niche business based on a few simple principles; exceptional food combined with equally exceptional service.

 

our history

After completing hotel management and catering at William Angliss College I decided it was time to start a business... Spitting Image Catering. Whilst the business was evolving in the early days I was gaining invaluable knowledge at Walters Wine bar and at the Grand Hyatt hotel in the fine dining room.

Besides the recent birth of my son James and representing Australia at the World Athletics championship, the growth and success of Spitting Image is my pride.

Spitting Image Catering is a business featuring a team of young, dedicated and professional staff led by Mark Longmuir and David Greenman.

Our objective is to exceed the expectation of the customer. We work closely with our clients and our suppliers to achieve the very best in food, presentation and service, on time and on budget.

We are known in Melbourne particularly for our expertise in BBQ and Spit Roast buffet and finger food. We also offer beverage catering, hiring and entertainment.

With a team of approximately 10 staff and many casuals we feel confident to cater for any event from 30 to 2000 people.
